This collection was part of a larger, months (Feb 2025-March 2025) long project, that required pages upon pages of research and experimentation. Zygomycota & Ascomycota was entirely focused on the organic patterns found within mold and fungi, hence the title. For more information on the actual research, there is a separate projects page dedicated to it. 
As someone who had not designed swimwear previously to this collection, I decided it best to conduct a survey across my academic buildings to understand what my target consumer would prefer in a swimsuit. Having gained that information, I designed several swimsuits and cover-ups that also included subtle motifs relating back to the inspiration for this collection using the Procreate program.
