To preface, this assignment was not officially sponsored or endorsed by the House of Dior, it was simply the collection I chose to illustrate. 

 

Advanced Fashion Sketching students were required to select a recent collection and then design, draw, and present an ad campaign of professional quality for a magazine. 
After careful consideration, I decided the best project fit for me was Maria Grazia’s Dior AW25 collection inspired by Virginia Woolf's 'Orlando.' 

 

To effectively communicate the mood of the collection through my illustrations, I drew inspiration from the collection’s runway architecture and color theme for my ad backgrounds. And after researching ‘Orlando,’ I included storyline details as spot varnishing to the wallpaper motif on one page using resin. I applied this same technique to the Christian Dior logo and the lettering in the background of another page.
